Purpose:
Converts a string to a date. This can be provided in the following formats:
|
Format |
|
dd.MM.yyyy[ HH][:mm][:ss] |
|
MM/dd/yyyy[ HH][:mm][:ss][ AM|PM|am|pm|a|p] |
|
yyyy-MM-dd[ HH][:mm][:ss] |
|
yyyyMMdd[HH][mm][ss] |
In addition, the following applies to the string:
▪ If it contains a dot ".", it will be read in the "dd.MM.yyyy" format (German).
▪ If it contains a diagonal slash "/", it will be read in the "MM/dd/yyyy" format (US English).
▪ If it contains a dash "-", it will be read in the "yyyy-MM-dd" format (ANSI).
▪ If it cannot be correctly interpreted, then the date represents a value that is larger than all other values, (1e100). The return value can be evaluated for correctness using "JulianToDate(1e100)".
▪ When one or two digits represent the year, all values under 30 will be applied to the 21st century (20xx) and all values over 30 will be applied to the 20th century (19xx).
Parameter:
String
Return value:

Example:
Date("04.07.1776") Result: 07/04/1776
